Going Green Part One

It seems like the new rage, going green. Everywhere you look there are billboards, commercials, and celebrities talking about green living. While I don’t live a Green GREEN lifestyle I do live greenish. Hey, every little bit helps, right?

One of the small things we’ve changed in our house are the chemicals that we use for cleaning. We now use all non-toxic, vegetable base, biodegradable, no phosphates, dyes, or fragrances. One of my favorite brands is Seventh Generation, but there are many other brands out there…..Method, Shaklee,  and Sun and Earth. Do a search for organic cleaning products and you will get pages to choose from.

For those skeptics who think they won’t work because they are made from organic, non chemical products…let me tell you, they work! They work just as well as all of the other harsh chemical products out there. One major difference. You are not spraying harmful chemicals into your house to breath in. You are not harming your children or pets with these harmful chemicals. Our major concern when we had children was using stinky, harmful chemicals around the babies. We no longer have any worries about that. For that matter if they accidentally swallowed any of the Seventh Generation cleaner instead of rushing them to the emergency room or calling poison control I simply give them a full glass of water. Umm..hello! Organic products not only clean as well or better but they are virtually harmless.

What are you waiting for?!?! Throw out those nasty cleaners and Go Green!!!!
